My Dream App

Welcome to My Dream App!

The event where 24 finalists compete for a chance to have their dream app made into reality.

First time? Check out what this contest is about and create an account for free. If you are already a member, please login to remove this message. Thanks!

If there’s one thing guaranteed to inspire the mind and raise the spirit, it’s the sounds of a fresh breeze rustling the trees and grass on a sunny day. The massaging waves crashing on a glistening shore. Or the positive comments about your dream application on the internet.

Negative comments have been few and far between. In fact I couldn’t really find any. There are some critically constructive ones, which is as it should be. I think myself and the dev-judges have had an answer for everything that has been brought up to far.

So anyway, forgive my indulgence and lend me your ears (eyes..whatever), “Just what have people been saying about Whistler?”

———- The Judges - Developers —–

This is just awesome. Someone make it, please. The greatest thing an application can do is allow users to do something that was once too difficult or complex to be feasible. The learning curve and cost of making computer music is way too steep, even with GarageBand. It has to be accurate and easy to use, but Whistler would be a useful tool and a phenomenally fun toy.

this idea — which might at first seem technically ridiculous — is actually probably quite possible and could be amazingly awesome

I love this idea, and it’d be fun to code.

Fun and innovative

——— Vox Populi ——–

I have long wanted an application exactly like this

I’d love to see this app. I agree that Whistler could find a place pre-installed on new macs. I’d happily pay for it if it wasn’t.

Whistler is clearly the standout. Layout, and design is one thing, and innovation is another.

I don’t care who wins, but some apps (like Whistler), I really, really want to buy.

This app is by far my favorite contestant. And I want to reinforce Richard’s point that it would be used by everybody.

Whistler - A brilliant and innovative idea.

This app is by far my favorite contestant. And I want to reinforce Richard’s point that it would be used by everybody. I have played guitar for several years except that for one reason or another I just can’t seem to become very good at it. Whistler would be a way for me, and others to express themselves musically in ways they can’t technically on an instrument.

this is the most original app idea submitted.

whistler could be ever so fantastic. So make it.

Heck, if you had a presale on it now, with the realistic possibility it wouldn’t get made, I’d still buy it.

that idea is reaaally cool. I’d LOVE it. Today was the first time I read through all the descriptions on this site, and when I read yours - boom!.

Whoa! I need it! I want it! Where can I buy it! Richard, this idea should win, IMHO. I am really frustrated that the “Buy now” button on your Apple mockup doesn’t work yet.

This really is my dream app, I hope my dreams come true and this app wins!

This project just has to win…… it’s really my dream app

WIN WIN WIN!!!!!

This will be so Apple-like, incredibly easy on the top, incredibly complex under the hood.

Who doesn’t love Whistler! :) I can’t wait to use it.

I’d love to see this app. I agree that Whistler could find a place pre-installed on new macs. I’d happily pay for it if it wasn’t.

I was originally skeptical on whether I would buy this app - but you got my vote after reading the judges and giving the idea a chance

Whistler - Yes! I want it!

whistler = greatness…

I have been making a point in trying not to express too much enthusiasm for contenders. But I cannot help but look wide-eyed at Whistler… …This should be taken very seriously.

now there is possibly hope! In Whistler!

Vote Whistler! This app must be made! I feel like it’s the only compelling app in the running that probably won’t just be made anyway… …
Vote Whistler! It’s the future :)

Get the word out on this app so it has a chance.
