So, here I am, ego boosted regarding my creative talents :)
First of all, kudos to the boys running the show. Its always great to see people daring to take things on with a new aproach.
Stumbling upon the MyDreamApp project I of course felt that I had to participate in this great concept. Based on an idea I had a while back, I quickly wrote down a description of my dream app. It looked like this:
“please make me an app that lets me stick small notes all over my computer”
Whoa, I cant really submit that I said to myself. Its only one sentence ffs. So I added some more text, descriptions and some examples, but basically, that one sentence said it all. I clicked on submit and went on with life.
And so, the other day phone rung and some english gibberish meets my swedish “tjena”. As it takes me a while to switch over to english mode, I didnt realize from where he was calling and naturally I supposed it was another “you-have-won-this-great-competition-and-all-you-have-to-do-is-beam-us-$1000-and-we’ll-send-you-this-brand-new-porche.”-scam.
Luckily tho, I didnt hang up on the guy but realized I had actually partly won a real competition. Being picked out among 2700 ideas actually felt quite nice I must admit. Never had I counted on that when entering. As I said, It really gives ones creative ego a boost.
For the finals I’ve describe some features of my dream app “Stick-it” with little more depth than originally. After all its no more 2700 ideas to scan. But yet it is probably not finished. I need all the feedback I can get from you. Anything you consider would be an improvement on the app, dont hesitate, just post it.
